Black Tea Cheese Puffs
Makes about 20 small puffs. Best eaten immediately.
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp ground black tea leaves or matcha green tea
- 1 cup grated sharp cheese I used a Parmesan, Romano and Asiago Mix
- 1/2 tsp ground mustard
- 1/4 tsp cayenne or black pepper
Grease mini muffin pan.
Mix all in dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir in milk gently. Don't over mix. Divide into muffin cups evenly.
Bake at 375F for 10-15 minutes.
Serve with butter and/or jam. Great with soup!
You could mix in 1 tbsp of dry parsley flakes, or chives for more flavor.
