Ingredients
2Cloves garlic,
115 ounce can garbanzo beansreserve half the liquid
4tbspLemon juice
2tbspTahini
1tspsalt
Black pepper to taste
2tbspolive oil
Instructions
In a food processor or high speed blender, chop garlic. Put drained garbanzo beans into the blender, reserving some for garnish. Add rest of ingredients. Blend until creamy and well mixed. If too thick, add a little water to blend and make it smooth. If you don't care about calories, use olive oil. Taste for seasoning.
Transfer the mixture to a medium serving bowl. Sprinkle with pepper and pour olive oil over the top. Garnish with reserved garbanzo beans.
Notes
If you like variety, you can add chopped olives, roasted red pepper, sweet onion, capers, fresh herbs, anything you like.
