Homemade Currywurst

Smoky, spicy and a little sweet, this is perfect over bratwurst. It works on mild sweet Italian sausage as well. Just make sure to grill whatever sausage you use, the smoky flavor is key.curry wurst

  • Bratwursts As many as you like
  • 1 cup Tomato Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Coca Cola
  • 4-5 tsp Mild Curry Powder
  • 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Water use more if too thick

Instructions
  1. Put all ingredients in a small saucepan and heat on medium low. Reduce heat to low. Simmer covered for about 10 minutes, stirring often to get flavors to combine. Let cool and transfer to glass container. Best if you let it sit overnight in the fridge before using it. Serve warm over sliced grilled bratwurst with fries as a side.
