Use Hawaij as you would apple pie spice or pumpkin. Add Sweet Hawaij to coffee, which is very traditional. Switch up your regular afternoon Chai Latte, add Hawaij! SERVING SUGGESTIONS : Add Savory Hawaij with the onions and celery when making chicken soup; sprinkle on carrots before roasting; rub into steaks before searing. Delicioius sprinkled on chicken or pork before grilling!

Ingredients
  

Sweet Hawaij

  • 2 tbsp Ground cardamom
  • 1 tbsp Ground ginger
  • 1 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cloves
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon

Savory Hawaij

  • 3 tbsp Ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp Ground cumin
  • 3 tbsp Ground turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Ground cardamom
  • 2 tbsp Kosher salt
  • 2 tsp Ground sumac

  • Mix spices in bowl. Store in cool, dark place for up to 3 months.
