Korean Spice Blend
This spice rub has become one of our favorites in my family.
It’s awesome sprinkled generously on ribs and chicken wings before grilling. Because it has brown sugar in it, it makes a great dry rub for meats. Our favorites are chicken wings and baby back ribs! Recently, I made party favors of this spice blend with my granddaughters, and I’ve already had requests for more! I haven’t been able to find gochugaru pepper flakes in a regular grocery store, but you can get it here. There is no substitute, so I really recommend buying some. It’s not too hot and you’ll probably find yourself using it in places you never thought of.
You can add it into ground meat for burgers and meatloaf. Try my Korean meatball recipe for a new twist on an old favorite!
